Todd Lubar And His Experience In The Real Estate Finance Industry

Todd Lubar graduated from the Syracuse University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication. As a child, he went to Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. for his primary education. He is currently the head of his own TDL GLOBAL VENTURES, LLC since 2013.

He had his start in the Real Estate industry in 1995. He began as a loan originator with Crestar Mortgage Corporation. He learned the ropes conservative Mortgage banking during his early career. He obtained many contacts early on with Real Estate agents, CPA’s, insurance agents and financial planners. This experience really jump-started his career.

In 1999, he was recruited into an equity position with Legacy Financial Group. He brokered loans with investors and was able to lend direct mortgages.

Todd Lubar decided to start up his own real estate company in 2002 by opening up Legendary Properties, LLC. His company dealt with developing residential properties. They developed single family homes as well as multi family complexes. He used his financial contacts to establish over $20 million worth of lines of credit.

In 2003, Lubar opened up his own mortgage backing company called First Magnus Financial Corporation. At the time, this was considered to be one of the largest private mortgage companies in the United States.

After so many years in the residential property business, he decided to open up Legendary Financial LLC to supplement his other venture Legendary Properties. This company lended directly to individuals and companies of Todd Lubar’s development company. This allowed individuals that were declined by other lending sources to have an opportunity to borrow.

During 2007 to 2008, he got involved with commercial demolition projects. He was able to obtain demolition contracts with some of the largest projects in the country. He also dabbled in the automotive scrap industry during this time.
